Dr. Keith Barton is a Professor of Ophthalmology, University College London, Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Co-chair of Ophthalmology Futures Forums, and formerly Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Ophthalmology. His areas of interest are the surgical management of glaucoma, especially surgical devices and secondary glaucomas, specifically the management of glaucoma in uveitis, for which he runs a dedicated clinic at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is currently a member of the Primary Tube Versus Trabeculectomy (PTVT) Study Steering Committee, Chief Investigator in the Corneal Ancillary Study to the PTVT Study and a member of the Trial Management Committees of both the NIHR HTA-funded Treatment of Advanced Glaucoma (TAGS) and Lasers in Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension (LIGHT) Studies.

Dr Fang is presently a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist at ISEC, Kuala Lumpur. He graduated with MBBS from University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur 1986 and further obtained Masters of Surgery in Ophthalmology, UKM in 1994. Clinical fellow in glaucoma at Department of Ophthalmology, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney under Dr Ivan Goldberg in 1995. Dr Fang was conferred Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia October 2017 Consultant Ophthalmologist in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and head the Glaucoma service between 1995 to 1999. Then Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist at the Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital from 1999 to May 2007. He is presently President of Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society since 2020, previously Honorary Secretary since 2012. Founding member of the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology (MSO) since 2008 and being its Past President from 2013 to 2017. Dr Fang is the President of Malaysian Glaucoma Society since 2022. Received distinguished service award from Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) in 2007, the Asian Angle Closure Glaucoma Club in 2012, MSO in 2017, ASEAN Economic Community Ophthalmology Meeting in 2017 and Outstanding Service award from the APAO in 2016. He was conferred Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia in October 2017. He is also a member of the IMAGE Asia Pacific Glaucoma Advisory Board since its inception. Elected Council member of the APAO since 2010 being Chairman of the Young Ophthalmologist Standing Committee of the APAO since 2013. Board member of ASEAN Ophthalmology Society from 2013 to 2017. Editorial board of the International Glaucoma Review of the World Glaucoma Association, Asian Journal of Ophthalmology, Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Glaucoma, Ophthalmic Surgery News APAO Edition and EyeWorld Asia Pacific. Dr Fang is also Chairman of the Medical Board of ISEC Healthcare Ltd, since 2014.

Professor Dr. Paul Chew is an Academic staff in the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) since 1989. He was appointed as the Head, Department of Ophthalmology, National University Hospital, NUHS in 2008 till 2010. He is an editorial reviewer for numerous medical journals, Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Journal of Ophthalmology, and Editorial Board of Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology as “Glaucoma” Section Editor and has published more than 100 publications. Professor Paul Chew’s specialty is in glaucoma surgery and research. He is the Director, Glaucoma Division in the Department of Ophthalmology, National University Hospital, NUHS. He has been principal investigator in numerous glaucoma clinical trials. He invented and commercialised the now globally available Glaucoma MP3 Therapy Laser. He also heads the glaucoma drainage implant research, which provides enhanced safety and success in the treatment of severe glaucoma disease. These new implants were designed in NUH and are currently in an advanced state of manufacture.

Prof Dr. Duan is an expert member of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Blindness Prevention Group, former member of the National Blindness Prevention Technical Guidance Group, and former Youth Committee and Glaucoma Group member of the Chinese Medical Association Ophthalmology Branch (serving for three consecutive terms). In 1993, he designed the Hunan Aqueous Drainage device (HAD), obtaining a National Utility Model Patent in 1996. He pioneered its use in China to treat refractory glaucoma, filling a gap in domestic medical practice. In 2004, he spent over six months as a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in the U.S., focusing on gene therapy for glaucoma. Later, he furthered his studies in clinical research and skills during a six-month visit to Wills Eye Hospital at Thomas Jefferson University. Professor Duan has led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, one Hunan Province Innovation Platform Project, and one Hunan Province Key R&D Project. Additionally, he has supervised a project under the Ministry of Education's New Century Talent Program and a doctoral grant-funded research project. He has led or participated in over 10 provincial and departmental research projects, nearly 10 multi-centre drug clinical trials, and contributed to the national “11th Five-Year Plan” project for establishing and promoting an evidence-based glaucoma diagnosis and treatment system. He has published 163 research papers, with 61 indexed in SCI journals. Professor Duan has authored one book, co-authored three, and contributed to 12 additional books. His accolades include four Hunan Province Science and Technology Progress Awards (2nd and 3rd Place), one Utility Model Patent, seven Invention Patents, and three Software Copyrights. As a mentor, he has supervised the completion of postdoctoral research for three scholars, as well as the graduation of 20 doctoral students and 22 master’s students. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of the Hunan Regional Division of the Aier Eye Hospital Group and is a doctoral supervisor. He previously held the position of Deputy Director of the Ophthalmology Department at Xiangya Second Hospital, Central South University.

Dr. Chelvin Sng is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, and the Medical Director of her clinical practice at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. She graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK, with triple first class honours and distinctions. She is the earliest surgeon in Asia to implant several novel MIGS devices, including the XEN Gel Implant, the iStent Inject and the PRESERFLO MicroShunt. Dr. Chelvin is the Convenor of the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society MIGS Interest Group and the co-editor of an open-access book on MIGS. Chelvin is also the co-inventor of the Paul Glaucoma Implant, and was voted on the global Ophthalmologist Power List 2022. She has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications, was awarded more than SG$2,000,000 in grant funding, and has received international awards from ASCRS, AAO, ARVO and APAO.

Dr Bryan Ang is a Consultant with the Glaucoma Service at the Department of Ophthalmology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. As a medical undergraduate, Dr Ang was placed on the Dean’s List for multiple years, and upon graduation, was awarded Distinction in Surgery and 2nd best candidate in Surgery. Dr Ang further received the Gold Medal as the best candidate in the Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) examinations. Dr Ang’s special interest is in glaucoma surgery and Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS). His surgical techniques, particularly in MIGS, have won him prestigious awards such as the 2nd Best Surgical Film Award at the World Glaucoma Congress 2019 and Best Video at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting 2021.

A/Prof Dr. Victor Koh is currently the Head for Department of Ophthalmology at National University Hospital (NUH) and National Univesity of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is also an Associate Professor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. A/Prof Koh graduated from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2007 and completed his basic and advanced Ophthalmology specialist training in 2016. In the specialist accreditation exams, he passed with several distinction awards and subsequently also obtained his MRCSEd (Ophthalmology) from the Royal College of Ophthalmology, Edinburgh. He finished a three-year glaucoma fellowship under his mentor, Prof Paul Chew. In 2018 to 2019, he underwent further sub-specialisation into childhood glaucoma and complex glaucoma management under Prof Sir Peng Khaw at Moorfields Eye Hospital, UK, the largest tertiary referral centre in Europe. His clinical expertise is in adult and childhood glaucoma management and complex cataract surgery. He is proficient in a broad range of cataract surgical techniques including femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens implantation and sutureless techniques for the scleral fixation of intraocular lenses.

Dr Woo is a Consultant Glaucoma Surgeon who has a particular interest in managing secondary glaucoma utilising Glaucoma Drainage Devices and retains a longstanding interest in Minimally-invasive Glaucoma Surgery. Dr Woo has previously worked in UK as a Consultant at Sunderland Eye Infirmary and York Hospital. He received Glaucoma training in Sunderland and Newcastle before embarking on the Glaucoma Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Dr Woo has a keen interest in Medical Education and is an Examiner for the UK Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is also a reviewer for several scientific journals in Ophthalmology.

Dr Gan graduated with his medical degree (M.D.) from Putra University of Malaysia (UPM) in 2003 and obtained his Master of Medicine (M.Med.) in Ophthalmology from Science University of Malaysia (USM). He continued to pursue advanced sub-specialty training in Glaucoma and completed a three-year Glaucoma Sub-specialty Fellowship Training, including one-year Clinical Fellowship in Singapore. He managed medical/ surgical cases pertaining to cataract, glaucoma and other eye diseases. He also functioned as medical/ surgical supervisor, visiting cataract surgeon and glaucoma consultant at few government hospitals. Dr Gan is frequently invited as a speaker for ophthalmology conferences, both locally and internationally. He is involved in research and publication of his clinical studies and also a reviewer for both regional and international ophthalmic journals.

Dr Adrian qualified from Aberdeen University, UK in 2000. He continued his postgraduate ophthalmic training in Peterborough, Edinburgh and Dundee. This was followed by advance Corneal, External eye diseases and Refractive surgery fellowship training in Newcastle with Prof Francisco Figueireido and Liverpool with Prof Stephen Kaye and Mr Mark Batterbury. He obtained his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, UK and General Medical Council, UK in 2012. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented scientific papers in Europe and USA. He has held the position of Consultant Ophthalmologist at St Paul’s Eye Unit, Royal Liverpool University Hospital for 2 years where he was lead for the Cataract and Refractive services prior to returning back to Malaysia after 18 years.

Associate Professor Dr Mimiwati Zahari specialises in glaucoma and cataract and is affiliated to various national and international professional bodies including the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology, and the Asian Angle Closure Glaucoma Club. Her work is regularly published in academic journals, the latest being the Asia Pacific Journal of Public Health and Advance Online Publication. She was awarded the Excellent Service Certificate twice and received the Excellent Service Award bestowed by the University of Malaya in 2009. She often present and speaks with regards to her areas of expertise. She contributes to the society through the Malaysian Glaucoma Society in which she plays the role of an advisor.

She is the president of Malaysian Glaucoma Society and vice president of Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology. She sits in ASEAN Ophthalmology Society council and Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology standing committee.

Dr Mohd Aziz Husni did his basic medical and postgraduate ophthalmology training in Malaysia. He did his clinical glaucoma fellowship at Dunedin Hospital and the University of Otago, New Zealand with Professor Anthony Molteno in 2009. He later did his Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Newcastle University. Dr Mohd Aziz Husni is currently the Head of Malaysia MOH Ophthalmology service and heads the MOH glaucoma service. He currently chairs the MOH Ophthalmology Postgraduate Training Subcommittee. He is a council member of the College of Ophthalmology, Academy of Medicine Malaysia since 2019. He is a member of the Malaysian Medical Council, Specialty Education Subcommittee for Ophthalmology, Malaysian Universities Conjoint Committee of Ophthalmology (MUCCO), and the MOH Subspecialty Training Committee.

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kee Ng graduated in medicine from the Universiti Sains Malaysia. He completed his Ophthalmology specialist training and a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology at the Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2015. He completed his Glaucoma Fellowship at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia. He received the Certificate of Completion for Fellowship Training (CCFT) in Glaucoma from the Malaysia Ministry of Health in 2021. He is an Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma surgeon in Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Malaysia. Dr Ng has been consistently involved in ophthalmology-related research, conference presentations and publications. He is particularly interested in complex glaucoma surgery and using new technology in his glaucoma patients’ management.

Dr Lim is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with special interest in cataract and glaucoma surgery at Sunway Medical Centre, Malaysia, where she has practised for the last 3 years. She was a Consultant at Taunton and Somerset Foundation NHS Trust for 5 years prior to this. She completed her Clinical Glaucoma Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital London where she managed Adult complex glaucoma as well as Paediatric Glaucoma. Her Glaucoma Fellowship training during her acquisition of her Certificate of Specialist Training (CCST UK) in Southwest England also gave her unique exposure to many Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries where these procedures were adopted early. She has published research in clinical visual science, and regional clinical applications of new glaucoma surgery/ techniques. Dr. Lim adopts a holistic and patient centred care in her practice.
